Overview
What CryptoContext is, what your AI client can do with it, and what keeps your account safe.
CryptoContext connects an account you hold at Binance, Bybit or OKX to Claude, Cursor or any MCP client. Your AI client gets tools to read the market, read your account, and place and manage orders, and every request passes through safeguards on our servers before anything reaches the exchange.
What you can ask for
- "What's BTC doing on the 4-hour chart, and where are the key levels?"
- "Size a long on ETH risking 1% with a stop under yesterday's low, and show me the order before placing it."
- "Move my SOL stop to breakeven and trail it 2% once it's in profit."
- "Review my last 20 trades and tell me what I keep getting wrong."
What keeps it safe
- No withdrawals. API keys that can withdraw or transfer are rejected, and the product has no withdrawal code at all. See the safety model.
- Preview first. Every trading tool is a dry run unless the AI explicitly passes
dry_run: false. Paper mode forces previews for the whole session. - A stop on every position, held by the exchange where it can and by our worker where it cannot, and every read tells you which.
- Hard limits on size, leverage and liquidation distance, an equity guard, and an audit log of every command.
Where to start
- Quickstart: a simulated account and your first preview in a few minutes.
- Connect your AI client.
- Connect an exchange with a trade-only API key, when you are ready for real money.
CryptoContext is software, not financial advice. Trading crypto assets, and leveraged derivatives in particular, can lose you more than you expect. You stay responsible for every trade on your account.
